OSSC Primary Investigator Syllabus Exam Pattern is described below in details. Odisha Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct the written test examination for the post of Primary Investigator. The recruitment process consists of three steps. That is Main Written Examination (Objective), Viva Voce Test and Career assessment test. Main written Examination consists of one paper of 120 marks of 1:30 hours duration .  The details syllabus and exam pattern is mentioned below.

OSSC Primary Investigator Exam Pattern :

A composite paper of 120 Marks of 1:30 hours duration (OMR sheet). The written examination will be of one paper on General Studie of multiple choice answer type. The candidates will answer in OM answer sheet. There will be negative marks for every wrong answer of 0.25 marks.

  1. Main Written Examination (General Studies.) : 120 Marks
  2. Career mark : 60 Marks (HSC-10 marks, +2 : 20 marks & Graduation : 30 marks).
  3. Viva Voce Test : 20 Marks

The detail syllabus for Main written test examination and the career assessment method is descibed in details below.

Main Written Examination Syllabus :

The question in the main written exam will be asked from the topics like General Science, current events, History & Geography o India/ Odisha, Indian Polity & Constitution, Socio-economic scenario of India, Issues in Environment and Human rights, Statistics Economics, Commerce & knowledge of Computer. Questions will also test the candidates knowledge in Arithmetic of HSC standard quantitative aptitude and numerical skill, problems in logic an’ reasoning, English and Odia language skill, grammar & usage.

Viva voce Test-

There shall be a viva-voce test carrying 20 marks. Basing on the performance in the written examination, candidates numbering up to 3 times the number of vacancies in the respective categories will be called for viva-voce test.

Career Assessment

There shall be career assessment from H.S.0 to Graduation carrying 60 marks. H.S.0 10 marks , +2 (20 marks) & Graduation 30 marks. Career mark will be calculated as per percentage of mark secured by the candidates.
