Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) conducts the Junior Data Entry Operator (DEO) Exam for the Post of Junior Data Entry Operator . The OSSC JDO Exam is purely a Computer Knowledge test exam. OSSC Junior Data Entry Operator Syllabus & Exam Pattern is described below.
OSSC Jr. DEO Exam Pattern :
The OSSC Jr DEO Exam has Three Stages, First stage is a Objective Type written test based on Computer fundamental Knowledge consisting of 40 Marks. The candidates who qualified the first stage will be eligible to appear the Second stage of Test in Computer (Practical) of 40 Mark. Then the qualified candidates have to appear the Viva Voce Test for 20 Mark. The final selected candidates will join the post.
- Computer fundamental (Theory) : 40 Marks : 40 Minutes
- Test in Computer (Practical) : 40 Marks : 30 Minutes
- Viva Voce Test : 20 Marks
Qualifying Mark : If a candidate will score at least 50% Marks that is 50 Mark , then he/she is eligible for the next level

a) Computer Fundamental (Theory) : Objective Questions
40 Questions X 1 Marks Each = 40 Marks

- Computer Fundamentals: 5 Marks
- Internet & Email : 5 Marks
- Windows OS : 5 Marks
- Ms-Word : 10 Marks
- Ms-Excel : 10 Marks
- Ms-Power Point : 10 Marks
Qualifying Mark : The candidates who secure minimum qualifying mark that is 20 out of total 40 marks or above will be called for the practical test in computer as follows
b) Test in Computer
- Ms – word : 10 Marks
- Excel :10 marks
- Windows : 10 Marks
- Power Point : 5 Marks
- Internet & Email : 5 Marks
Qualifying Mark : The candidates who secure minimum qualifying mark that is 20 out of total 40 marks or above will be called for Viva Voce Test
c) Viva Voce Test
Viva Voce Test will be conducted for 20 marks. Who qualify both the three phase will be selected for the post.
