Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha conducts the OTET (Paper -II) Examination two times in a year. If a candidate wants to be a teacher in Upper Primary School (Class VI to VIII) then he has to qualify the OTET Paper -2 exam after the completion of B.Ed courses. OTET Paper – 2 Exam Pattern :
OTET Paper -II has 4 papers. Out of which 3 papers are compulsory.
- Total number of Questions 150 No.
- Full Mark 150 Marks, Each question carries 1 Mark
- Time Duration of Exam : 2 Hours and 30 Minutes
- 3 compulsory subjects for both Arts and Science Students and Student can choose any one Optional Subject from TWO optional papers (One Science Related/ Arts Related)
- 30 questions will be asked from each subjects and 60 questions from optional subject.
- 1 Mark for each CORRECT Answer and No Negative Marking for WRONG Answer
- Paper-II questions will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the state for Class VI to VIII but their difficulty standard as well as linkages could be up to senior secondary/ higher secondary /+2 stage.
OTET Paper- II Question Pattern :
For Paper 2 candidates , THREE subjects are compulsory and they can choose any ONE subject from the two optional papers.

Optional Papers A & B:
- A students have to select any one paper from Two optional papers A & B . Total 60 Questions will be asked from this subject.
- Science students will select the Paper A and Arts students will select Paper -B
Qualifying Mark (Score) :
If a candidates will score 60% mark that is 90 marks out of 150 Marks will be considered as the OTET qualified candidates. He will a get a OTET certificate whose validity is 7 years.
